IKEA - June 17, 2025

Company Description

Inter IKEA Group brings together three primary areas: Retail Concept, Range, and Supply. Our mission is to continuously improve the IKEA home furnishing offer and make it more accessible for everyone. As part of IKEA Supply and the Supply Chain Development organization, we are committed to ensuring that our products are produced and delivered to our customers efficiently. We collaborate across various functions and business areas to secure customer availability in all markets and sales channels while maintaining the lowest total cost.

We foster a workplace where everyone feels empowered to be themselves—experimenting, exploring new approaches, and daring to ask, "What if?" At IKEA, we believe in personal growth and offer global career development opportunities. Our vibrant culture encourages the sharing of ideas, skill enhancement, and a collective goal of "creating a better everyday life for the many people." We provide our employees with the chance to grow both personally and professionally in a dynamic, global environment full of challenges and learning experiences.

IKEA is on a transformative journey to create a better everyday life for many by continuously reinventing ourselves to meet and exceed customer needs. We aim to enhance our digital capabilities by integrating core business processes, people, data, and technology, enabling us to become an even better home furnishing company. We invite passionate individuals who embrace change, dare to question the status quo, and want to make a real difference to join us.

To achieve our ambitions outlined in the IKEA Supply Strategy, we have identified the necessity to modernize our operational methods. We are implementing a new foundational digital core for IKEA, which includes the Order & Finance Platform (OFP) Programme—one of the largest digital investments in IKEA Supply in the coming years. The OFP Programme is recognized as a pivotal movement within the common IKEA Digital Roadmap, designed to create benefits across the entire IKEA value chain, from suppliers to retailers. This presents an exciting opportunity to participate in a groundbreaking SAP S/4 HANA implementation and introduce an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution for our operations.

Job Description

As the SAP S4 Order to Cash Solution Architect, you will take on key responsibilities concerning SAP solution design, implementation, and maintenance within our Order to Cash workstream. Collaboration is essential, and you will work closely with a team of Business Analysts, External Consultants, Developers (Techno-functional design), Security & Data Privacy teams, and Data Specialists to ensure the successful delivery and ongoing maintenance of SAP S/4, adhering to standard practices while maintaining a high level of automation and specialization across our global value chain.

Your specific responsibilities will include:

  • Accountable for the solution architecture (including techno-functional requirements) across the Order to Cash (SAP S/4 SD, LE) processes, from relevant Master Data & transactions to successful Month End closing.
  • Collaborating closely with Product/Process Owners and Lead Solution Architects to evaluate and align design changes from an application maintenance perspective.
  • Acting as a front-line contact for business process owners and superusers to ensure a seamless platform experience in the live environment across the complete value chain, regardless of the underlying application landscape, including:
    • Enhancements within the SAP ecosystem and Software Development (DevSecOps) requirements supporting related capabilities.
    • Standard changes as part of releases, ensuring alignment with configuration and design guidelines.
    • Supporting the analysis of productive issues (Incident & Problem Management) and implementing resolutions while working with the entire DevSecOps team, both internal and external.
    • Leveraging solution manager for automation testing focusing on build and UiPath.
    • Acquiring the ability to learn and support non-SAP applications critical to the Finance business processes within the overall OFP ecosystem.
    • Designing and maintaining operational reporting as well as embedded analytics solutions.
  • Adhering to operational governance, SLAs, and ensuring desired results; identifying dependencies, testing requirements, service orchestration, and business impact implications.
  • Guiding configuration in SAP S/4 HANA while engaging with cross-functional scrum teams, requiring hands-on configuration experience in SAP S/4 HANA and/or ECC.
  • Exhibiting cross-functional alignments and the ability to articulate how end-to-end processes interconnect.
  • Proactively communicating status updates, escalating issues, and managing timelines and action items.
  • Risk management and mitigation regarding the challenges posed by a transformational transition architecture, ensuring operational continuity.

In this role, you will report to our SAP Platform Area Manager in IKEA Supply and collaborate closely with the programme management for the Order and Finance Programme.
