SOFTWARE SOLUTION ENGINEER

As part of our Information Technology Department – Software Architecture team, you will play a key role in the continued development of innovative products in the biotech area. You will be responsible for translating requirements into state-of-the-art designs, whether for standalone software or complete systems, adhering to best practices. Initially, you will be entrusted with the conceptual development of Securecell’s new disruptive product, with additional products to follow. Your role requires advising both internal and external specialist teams (co-development approach) and making informed decisions that consider the company’s overall success. You will establish standards for methodologies and development approaches while creating the necessary documentation.

YOUR PROFILE

• Completed studies (FH / Uni / ETH) in engineering, preferably in IT or computer science.
• At least three years of experience in software development.
• Strong expertise in software development, with experience in enterprise-grade applications and a hands-on mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams, effectively communicating architectural decisions into technical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills, capable of navigating complexity within a large technical stack.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, automation frameworks, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Proficiency in Linux environments, particularly LTS distributions and Oracle Linux (preferred, but open to alternatives).
• Experience with enterprise databases, especially Oracle DB and PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding of security best practices, compliance requirements, and secure coding methodologies.
• While industry experience in Medtech/Biotech is not mandatory, a strong interest and awareness of the regulated environment is essential.
• Experience in (bio)process technology is a plus but not a prerequisite.
• A valid work permit is required; applications will only be considered if they match the job profile.
