SOFTWARE SOLUTION ENGINEER

We are seeking a Software Solution Engineer for our Information Technology Department – Software Architecture team. As part of a development team, you will be a key driver in the ongoing development of innovative products in the biotech sector. You will design state-of-the-art standards based on requirements for standalone software or entire systems, adhering to best practices.

Initially, you will be entrusted with the conceptual development of Securecell’s new disruptive product, with additional products to follow. Your role will involve advising internal and external specialist teams (co-development approach) and making decisions that consider the overall success of the company. You will define standards for methodologies and development approaches, and create corresponding documentation.

YOUR PROFILE

• Completed studies (FH / Uni / ETH) in engineering, preferably IT / computer science.
• At least three years of experience in software development.
• Strong expertise in software development with experience in enterprise-grade applications. A hands-on mindset is essential.
• Ability to work across teams, collaborate effectively, and translate architectural decisions into technical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills, capable of navigating complexity in a large technical stack.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, automation frameworks, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Proficiency in Linux environments, particularly with LTS distributions and Oracle Linux (preferred but open to alternatives).
• Experience working with enterprise databases, particularly Oracle DB and PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding of security best practices, compliance, and secure coding methodologies.
• Industry experience in MedTech/Biotech is not mandatory; however, a strong interest and awareness of the regulated environment is crucial.
• Experience in (bio)process technology is a plus but not a prerequisite.
