From our central Zurich office, the Spur Insights Data Science team collaborates closely with clients' engineering teams. You will join our skilled group of data scientists to develop and implement back-end and machine-based solutions that effectively visualize data and insights generated through advanced data science algorithms.

As a key member of our software engineering team, you will work hand-in-hand with data scientists to transform cutting-edge algorithms into practical, production-ready applications.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Update our existing solutions to leverage recent advances in edge-based compute infrastructures, particularly “Docker”.
• Support the development of computationally efficient data science algorithms.
• Design and implement system architectures for stand-alone, web-based analytics systems, APIs, and back-end integrations, adhering to industry standards such as OPC/UA.
• Integrate data science algorithms on industrial machines using runtime environments.
• Adopt a hands-on approach to bring solutions to product readiness by collaborating with external vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with DevOps practices and containerization tools such as Docker.
• Familiarity with web hosting infrastructure and cloud platforms including GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Basic understanding of current data science algorithms and proficiency in writing high-quality code in Python, C, and Java.
