  • Identify and alleviate workflow bottlenecks, translating business and research requirements into scalable, maintainable software solutions.
  • Implement automation and monitoring for operational and data pipelines using APIs, Python, and DevOps practices.
  • Build and manage system integrations between internal and third-party services to ensure robustness, consistency, and low latency.
  • Develop user-friendly interfaces and documentation, and conduct onboarding or training for internal users.
  • Contribute to cloud migration and containerization initiatives (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform).
  • Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and technical design discussions across teams.

Your Skillset

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years in a software or DevOps engineering role, ideally within a data-intensive, trading, or hedge fund environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, with proven experience in building automation tools, REST APIs, and integrations.
  • Extensive experience with the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), including administration, workflow design, custom integrations, and automation scripting.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and configuration management (Ansible, Terraform).
  • Hands-on experience managing or deploying workloads on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Familiarity with SQL and data processing frameworks such as Pandas, Spark, or Airflow.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, production-critical environments.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
