Daedalean is a Zürich-based startup founded by a team of experienced engineers dedicated to revolutionizing air travel over the next decade. We leverage cutting-edge technologies such as computer vision, deep learning, and robotics to develop full “level-5” autonomy for flying vehicles.

Your Role

As the leader of the Tooling team, you will take a hands-on approach to build applications that play a critical role in certifying our first machine learning-based products in aviation. You will be responsible for all of our software that does not fly, encompassing everything from DevOps-related tools to team-specific infrastructure and the development of in-house solutions. Your contributions will directly enhance the experiences of your colleagues who will benefit from well-designed development tools.

Qualifications

You are intelligent, results-driven, and possess:

• Experience with big data pipelines and distributed processing.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient software engineering skills, particularly in Rust.
• Insight to determine when to transition from temporary shell scripts to a well-structured (but not over-engineered) server solution.

Experience with image/video processing is a plus, though not mandatory.
