Daedalean is a Zürich-based startup founded by experienced engineers with a vision to revolutionize air travel within the next decade. We leverage cutting-edge technology, including computer vision, deep learning, and robotics, to develop full “level-5” autonomy for flying vehicles.

Your Role

As the leader of the Tooling team, you will take a hands-on approach, applying your expertise in infrastructure, UI, and system interfaces to develop applications that are crucial for certifying our first machine learning-based aviation products. You will be responsible for all software that does not fly, including DevOps-related tools, team-specific infrastructure, and in-house solutions. Your contributions will be met with direct feedback and appreciation from your colleagues as you enhance their experiences with well-designed development tools.

Qualifications

You are intelligent, results-driven, and possess:

• Experience with big data pipelines and distributed processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Applied software engineering experience in Rust.
• The insight to determine when to transition from a throwaway shell script to a well-structured (but not over-engineered) server solution.

Experience with image and video processing is not mandatory but is certainly a plus.
