Job Description

Your Mission: As a Social Media Specialist (12-month internship) in the Marketing Team at General Marketplaces (Ricardo, tutti.ch, anibis.ch), you will play a vital role in supporting and expanding our organic social media presence across Switzerland. Your mission is to help create high-quality, engaging, and platform-native content efficiently, while contributing to measurable growth in reach, engagement, and community development.

This role offers hands-on experience in social media strategy, content creation, influencer collaborations, and performance tracking. You will work closely with experienced marketing professionals and contribute to our overarching goals and mission. Join our dynamic team, which spans six countries (Switzerland, Serbia, Vietnam, France, Germany, and India)—where creativity thrives, challenges are tackled collaboratively, and successes are celebrated.

Specifically, you will work on:

• Supporting the creation and editing of static posts and short-form video content (Reels, TikToks) using tools like CapCut, Canva, Premiere Rush, or similar.
• Writing engaging, platform-native captions for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn (including hooks, CTAs, hashtags, and maintaining community tone).
• Adapting content across platforms and languages (e.g., DE → FR) while ensuring tone and performance focus are maintained.
• Assisting in planning and publishing content, including community management and performance tracking.
• Supporting operational tasks for influencer collaborations and campaign activations (briefing support, coordination, tracking).

Your responsibilities will evolve as we grow.

Qualifications

What will you bring to the ride?

• Initial experience in social media content creation, ideally including caption writing.
• Strong command of (Swiss) German (ideally a native speaker), English, and French.
• Understanding of:
• Hook mechanics
• Effective Call-to-Actions
• Hashtag strategies
• Platform-specific tone and community language.
• Basic video editing experience for Reels or TikTok (9:16 format, first 3-second hook logic, thumbnail thinking).
• Confident use of tools such as CapCut, Canva, Premiere Rush, or similar.
• Ability to work in a structured, hands-on, and detail-oriented manner.

You do not need to be a high-end video professional; however, you should feel comfortable creating and editing short-form content independently. We value the diverse skills you bring and your ability to learn quickly, so don't worry if your career path has been unique.
