About the Swiss Factory

As a Smart Manufacturing IT Integration Specialist for Manufacturing Execution Systems, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth factory operations while serving as a technical expert and consultant in developing new solutions.

As part of our team at the global headquarters in Baden, Switzerland, you will gain in-depth knowledge of Accelleron’s processes and application landscape, focusing on factory integration and process improvement initiatives.

Your Responsibilities

  • Process Engineering:
    • Consult with business teams on investment projects and process optimizations within the IS application landscape.
    • Leverage existing IS systems and solutions to ensure their effective application and continuous improvement, while identifying opportunities for innovative solutions.
    • Evaluate new investments and applications transparently, aligning them with IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity.
    • Identify trends and enabling technologies in Industry 4.0 to enhance business process efficiency.
    • Collaborate closely with business teams to discover technology-driven process improvement opportunities.
  • Application Ownership:
    • Manage a segment of the Factory Management Applications Portfolio, which encompasses the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), IoT device integration, and shop floor connectivity.
    • Ensure seamless and standardized integration of Backend Systems (ERP, MES) with Manufacturing Control Systems and production equipment.
    • Collaborate with business process owners and IS delivery teams to drive value creation through advanced technologies.
    • Ensure IS security and compliance within the production application landscape in close cooperation with IS security teams.
  • Project Work:
    • Consult business representatives on integration options within the manufacturing IT system landscape.
    • Lead IT system integration efforts for new IoT equipment.
    • Drive process digitalization as a subject matter expert to ensure end-to-end process improvement for new investments, from initiation and design to successful implementation.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within an industrial environment or equivalent project experience during studies.
  • Understanding of MES systems and shop floor IoT integration.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing setting.
  • Fluent in English and German (business proficiency required).
  • Experience in IT infrastructure (networking, cybersecurity, hardware integration) is a plus.
