Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated professional who will:

  • Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) by ensuring that all scaffold and lifting activities comply with safety regulations.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and enforce compliance, halting work whenever safety is at risk.
  • Plan, organize, and execute lifting operations with competent personnel, overseeing crane selection and ensuring suitable equipment and safe slinging/signaling arrangements.
  • Maintain and inspect lifting gear, ensuring all equipment meets stringent safety standards.
  • Plan and supervise scaffold erection, adhering to weight limitations and ensuring proper fall protection and tie-offs.
  • Act as the primary contact for scaffold and lifting coordination, facilitating regular meetings with contractors to minimize disruptions and foster efficient work execution.
  • Conduct frequent audits on scaffolding and lifting equipment, ensuring all gear is properly marked with safety information and subject to periodic examinations.
  • Prevent unauthorized use of lifting equipment and maintain a secure work environment by controlling access and enforcing safety protocols.
  • Ensure all personnel involved in lifting and scaffold operations are adequately trained and competent, providing guidance and insights for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, risk assessments, and safety measures while ensuring compliance with legal and project requirements.

Qualifications

  • CISRS Advanced Scaffolding Inspection certification
  • Completed a 1-Day Temporary Works Accredited Training Course
  • Proven experience in a similar role on large construction projects
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant HSEQ legal and management system requirements
  • Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or equivalent certification
  • Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass (ROI), CSCS or CCNSG card or equivalent
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
