Liebherr BU-AxM (Business Unit-Axial Piston Machines) is an integral part of a globally recognized family business. We specialize in developing and manufacturing high-performance components in mechanical and hydraulic drive technology at our two locations in Ettlingen near Karlsruhe and Bulle (Canton of Fribourg). Our hydraulic components feature a range of electro-hydraulic-mechanical pump and motor controllers that enhance the functionality of our machines. Utilizing cutting-edge simulation methods, our solutions significantly impact the performance of various equipment, including mobile and crawler excavators, mining machines, and wheel loaders. We are currently seeking to strengthen our development team at our Bulle or Ettlingen facilities.

Your Responsibilities

• Simulate the static and dynamic behavior of rotating groups and control systems of axial piston machines using 1D simulation software (including Amesim).
• Conduct 3D finite element method (FEM) simulations to analyze strength, deformation, and surface pressures of load-bearing components.
• Validate simulation models against test results.
• Collaborate closely with design and hydraulic testing teams to ensure project success.

Your Profile

• Successfully completed an engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master of Science, Dipl.-Ing., PhD).
• Extensive expertise in hydraulic or mechanical drives and components.
• Several years of experience in simulating drive components, preferably in hydrostatic drives or piston machines.
• Strong affinity for development, design, and testing.
• Highly developed analytical skills.
• Fluent in both German and English.
