Position: Signal Integrity Lead Engineer

We are actively seeking a Signal Integrity Lead Engineer who thrives on challenges, for our offices in Switzerland (Lausanne) or the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Kandou code technology developers and product teams to provide guidance on signal integrity (SI) solutions and issues.
  • Assist Kandou circuit designers in developing SI solutions for our silicon implementations.
  • Support Kandou staff in the analysis and definition of high-speed signaling standards (IEEE, OIF, memory).
  • Engage with customers and component suppliers for the development and analysis of hardware solutions.
  • Deliver theoretical and simulation-based signal integrity analysis for Kandou products and test structures.
  • Create technical analysis reports for both internal teams and external customers.
  • Evaluate the SI performance of Kandou's Chord encoding systems compared to other systems such as PAM4, PAM8, etc.
  • Work with chip and circuit designers on SI/PI/power solutions for packages and evaluation boards.
  • Conduct SI/PI/power validation tests and correlate simulations with measurements.
  • Develop design specifications, simulation reports, debug reports, and validation test plans.

Required Competencies – Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Solid foundation in microwave, analog, power, and digital electronics theories.
  • A strong team player, eager to learn new concepts quickly.
  • Leadership experience in SI/PI teams with the ability to mentor junior team members.

Required Competencies – Skills

  • Understanding of simulation and design principles for signal and power integrity.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, including Matlab.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based IC design environments and experience with Cadence Virtuoso.
  • Experience with widely-used SI/PI simulation tools.
