Shipping Operator Position
We are seeking a skilled Shipping Operator to join our dynamic team. This pivotal operational role is ideal for individuals possessing strong maritime experience, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to manage complex voyages within a fast-paced international environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of seagoing experience as an Officer on gas carriers, preferably LPG or LNG vessels. You will excel in this position if you:
- Possess solid experience in maritime operations, shipping, or fleet management.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of voyage operations and the maritime landscape.
- Are familiar with shipping contracts, operational processes, and voyage execution.
- Exhibit rigor and the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints.
- Showcase strong organizational skills and an exceptional attention to detail.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate team spirit, reliability, and a strong sense of commitment.
- Feel comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment across different time zones.
- Are fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
Responsibilities
As a Shipping Operator, you will coordinate daily shipping operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of voyages from pre-fixture through to post-voyage. Your duties will encompass:
- Coordinating and monitoring vessel operations throughout the complete voyage lifecycle.
- Acting as a key point of contact with shipowners, charterers, agents, and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborating closely with Trading, Chartering, Technical, Vetting, and other support functions.
- Ensuring voyage execution aligns with contractual terms, operational requirements, and internal procedures.
- Optimizing voyages for chartered vessels, considering safety, efficiency, timing, and cost.
- Monitoring operational performance, incidents, delays, and associated costs.
- Supporting risk management and ensuring compliance with HSE standards.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of operational processes and methodologies.
