Position Overview
To strengthen our team at Zurich Airport, we are looking for a Shift Team Leader / Supervisor Assembly to join us immediately or by mutual agreement.
Your Responsibilities:
- Ensure that tasks are carried out effectively and efficiently in accordance with agreed goals, budget, procedures, and specifications.
- Create and maintain a positive work environment through appropriate measures and behaviors.
- Resolve and/or escalate conflicts, offer solutions, and implement corrective actions.
- Support and maintain continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.
- Monitor the performance of team members during the shift.
- Participate in operational meetings.
- Communicate, motivate, and develop team members to maximize their contribution to the department’s performance.
- Ensure compliance with policies in the areas of health and safety, food safety, security, and our internal Operational Excellence Program (gateOPEX).
- Support and manage defined information systems and workflows to ensure quality products and services for customers.
Your Profile:
- Completed vocational training (ideally as a logistician or in the food sector).
- Qualification in food hygiene, food safety, and health and safety is an advantage.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in a fast-paced environment.
- 2 years of leadership experience, preferably supervising teams of 20-40 people.
- Experience in project and process management is a plus.
- Motivating, inspiring, and authentic leader with quick comprehension, good networking skills, and an effective working style.
- Decisive with high assertiveness.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Good IT knowledge (MS Office, SACS).
- Fluent in German and good spoken English; basic written communication skills for email correspondence.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and shifts from 05:00 to 23:00.
