Service Sales Manager

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Manager who will be responsible for the development, offering, and negotiation of power plant projects worldwide.

Your Tasks

  • Lead sales projects on an international basis, managing everything from pre-acquisition and tendering to negotiation and handover to execution.
  • Generate profitable sales from new and existing customers in the Service market of H and F-class Heavy Duty Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, and Generators to meet the Company’s objectives related to order intake, turnover, profit, and margin.
  • Represent the sales projects and Ansaldo Energia externally while driving the sales projects through internal processes:
    • Lead and manage the sales process and contract negotiations for service contracts, upgrade projects, and general sales.
    • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
    • Represent Ansaldo at industry meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
    • Gather market and competitive intelligence to inform commercial strategies.
    • Continuously increase and maintain knowledge of market trends, customer requirements, competitor actions, and the customer base.
    • Actively contribute to improving and maintaining the processes and tools used in sales activities.

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in engineering or business administration, accompanied by experience in offering and selling large complex products or solutions.
  • Experience negotiating large-scale projects.
  • Knowledge of power plant technology, including main products such as gas turbines and steam turbines, as well as the cost parameters of power projects.
  • A reliable, creative, flexible, and enthusiastic team player.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in challenging situations.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (up to 30% globally), sometimes on short notice.
  • Excellent command of English; knowledge of German is advantageous, and further knowledge of Italian would be a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven communication abilities.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
