Position: Service Sales Manager

As the Sales Manager, you will be accountable for the development, offering, and negotiation of power plant projects on a global basis.

Your Tasks

  • Lead sales projects internationally from pre-acquisition through acquisition, tendering, negotiation, and handover to execution.
  • Generate profitable sales from new and existing customers in the Service market for H and F-class Heavy Duty Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, and Generators, aligning with the company's objectives regarding order intake, turnover, profit, and margin.
  • Represent sales projects and Ansaldo Energia externally while steering the sales projects through internal processes.
  • Manage the sales process and contract negotiations for Service Contracts, upgrade projects, and general sales.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
  • Represent Ansaldo at industry meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Gather market and competitive intelligence to devise commercial strategies.
  • Effectively increase and maintain knowledge of market trends, customer requirements, competitor actions, and customer base.
  • Actively participate in improving and maintaining the processes and tools used in your activities.

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in engineering or business administration, with experience in offering and selling large, complex products or solutions.
  • Significant experience in negotiating large-scale projects.
  • Knowledge of power plant technology, particularly gas turbines and steam turbines, along with understanding the cost parameters of power projects.
  • Reliable, creative, flexible, and enthusiastic team player.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in challenging situations.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (up to 30% globally), often on short notice.
  • Excellent command of English; knowledge of German is advantageous, and further knowledge of Italian would be an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
