Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Performing all necessary tasks for the installation, upgrades, and maintenance of DeltaV Systems and all integrated bus systems, as well as intelligent field devices and third-party systems, whether in-house or at customer sites.
- Overseeing the installation and maintenance of backup systems, antivirus management, and other cybersecurity solutions.
- Creating design documents and test procedures for the installations mentioned above in both validated and non-validated environments.
- Providing active support to customers through phone, email, or on-site assistance.
- Handling all customer inquiries related to products (hardware and software) or services offered by the Business Units PSS & AO.
- Registering and documenting all customer interactions in the SMS database, analyzing and managing them proactively.
- Escalating issues to specialists in Emerson Support Centres for further investigation as necessary, and following up on problems until implemented solutions are achieved.
- Delivering active on-site service and maintenance for products or services provided by the Business Units PSS & AO.
- Maintaining the Installed System Database.
- Registering and monitoring service contracts; executing services in accordance with contracts and schedules.
- Collaborating with the Desk Sales team on quotations for spare parts, minor expansions, migrations, and upgrades.
- Actively supporting the sales team in the sale and renewal of service contracts.
- Providing information and technical inputs to the Field Sales team.
- Ensuring the transfer of technical knowledge within the Service and Engineering department.
- Completing other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Service Manager.
- Adhering to the "Trade Compliance Screening" procedure.
- Following up on all training and certification requirements as mandated by the service organization.
