Become part of Axpo's dynamic team and take on an exciting role in the rapidly evolving emissions market. As a Senior Trader, you will be instrumental in taking financial proprietary positions and helping to develop advanced analytical models.
What You Will Do:
- Take proprietary trading positions in carbon certificates and related commodities/products.
- Collaborate closely with our analysts to foster knowledge transfer, develop in-house models, and enhance fundamental market forecasting.
- Stay informed about regulatory developments and industry best practices to ensure compliance and drive innovation in carbon trading practices.
- Provide market access to other desks for hedging purposes.
- Engage in discussions and share insights with our related trading desks, including power, gas, petroleum, and more.
What You Bring & Who You Are:
- A Master’s or PhD in business or natural sciences.
- Several years of experience in trading EUAs and/or UKAs within a trading house, fund, or utility.
- A proven track record of strong PnL performance.
- The ability and willingness to work in an international context.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a fundamentally sound trading approach.
