Become a pivotal part of the rapidly evolving emissions market at Axpo. As a Senior Trader, you will take financial proprietary positions while developing sophisticated analytical models to excel in the carbon trading arena.
What You Will Do:
- Take proprietary trading positions in carbon certificates or related commodities/products.
- Collaborate closely with analysts to foster knowledge transfer, develop in-house models, and enhance fundamental market forecasting.
- Stay informed about regulatory developments and industry best practices to ensure compliance while driving innovation in carbon trading practices.
- Provide market access to other desks for hedging purposes.
- Engage in discussions and share insights with related trading desks, including power, gas, petroleum, and more.
What You Bring & Who You Are:
- A Master’s or PhD in business or natural sciences.
- Several years of experience in trading EUAs and/or UKAs within a trading house, fund, or utility.
- A proven track record of strong PnL performance.
- A willingness and ability to work in an international context.
- Excellent communication skills and a fundamental trading approach.
