The Role
The Sr. Manager, Global Trade Marketing Clairol will report to the Senior Director for Global Clairol marketing and will work closely with the Director for Global Brand Operations Retail Hair Brands. This role is instrumental in driving global portfolio operations as they relate to the commercial and go-to-market strategy for the Clairol portfolio, with an emphasis on activation excellence. The successful candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment that values accountability and ambition, and will have a unique opportunity to lead the commercial strategy for Clairol.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Global Clairol Portfolio 3-year Innovation Master Plan.
- Lead the identification of global portfolio expansion and harmonization opportunities and plan of action.
- Shape and implement the channel growth strategy/platform across the portfolio.
- Oversee deployment and ensure follow-through of fit-for-channel needs and global brand implementation.
- Develop Clairol brand pricing architecture and strategy.
- Assist in the creation of the annual Clairol Global Success Model.
- Collaborate with regional channel teams on new portfolio expansion plans.
- Develop commercial strategy and sales fundamentals to support Clairol’s Innovation Masterplan.
- Act as a key contributor to innovation, ongoing business analysis, and tracking across channels and regions.
- Support critical projects across the portfolio, including Visual Merchandising guidance and Portfolio Optimization.
Qualifications
- 4-5 years of experience in Global/Regional Commercial Roles within the FMCG Industry and 3+ years in Global Trade Marketing; experience in the Beauty/Hair Industry is preferred.
- Proven autonomous problem-solving skills and business analysis capabilities.
- Strong commercial acumen and numeracy.
- Excellent communication skills.
- External focus with an awareness of industry and retail trends.
- Ability to influence key partners across regions, markets, and functions.
- Experience with Regional or Local Teams is a plus.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Science, or a related field is required; an MBA is preferred.
