Opportunity: Senior Technology Transfer Lead - Drug Product Services (DPS)

Join us in Basel, Switzerland, at our thriving Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) branch. We are excited to announce a vacancy for the position of Senior Technology Transfer Lead in DPS. This is your chance to contribute to groundbreaking work that addresses major challenges in patient treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage technical activities for drug product transfers from clinical development to the first commercial launch of assigned projects.
  • Define and monitor project scope, timing, and progress.
  • Lead the setup, scale-up, and implementation of technical drug product manufacturing processes at GMP DP manufacturing sites and provide on-site technical support.
  • Oversee process implementation and ensure the accuracy of technical transfer documentation.
  • Drive GMP change management strategies for assigned projects and manage related change control processes.
  • Lead efforts to address critical GMP product/process deviations, implementing corresponding corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Ensure all activities comply with current standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Health Safety Environment (HSE), and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster innovation and technical strategy projects, generate intellectual property, and contribute to scientific publications and conference presentations, along with evaluating and implementing new methods and technologies.

Key Requirements

  • Ph.D. or Master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmaceutical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, or related fields.
  • Extensive experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Thorough understanding of the technical requirements for drug product transfers.
  • Desirable knowledge of aseptic product manufacture for protein drug products, including lyophilization; experience with prefilled syringes is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, with strong proficiency in English, both written and oral.
  • Proven capability as a team player with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills, including project management, risk management, and technical writing expertise.
