Role Overview
Position: Senior Technical Sales Manager - Cosmetics & Personal Care
Location: Europe (flexible)
Type: Full-time
We are looking for a passionate individual to take ownership of a segment and turn technical innovation into visible market adoption. You will manage the Cosmetics & Personal Care segment and transform technical validation into market adoption that drives revenue growth. This is a hands-on, high-impact commercial role, distinct from distributor management or corporate account management.
Operating at the intersection of science and business, you will work directly with formulators, brands, and our internal technical team to promote visible market adoption.
Responsibilities
- Build the cosmetics commercial engine.
- Own and prioritize the cosmetics pipeline.
- Convert testing results into repeatable commercial sales.
- Secure commercial sales with visible reference customers.
- Drive negotiations and finalize structured commercial agreements.
- Translate science into revenue:
- Present confidently to external R&D and formulation teams.
- Translate performance data into formulation support.
- Collaborate closely with product development to accelerate validation.
- Support customers through testing, iteration, and launch.
- Be disciplined in a startup environment:
- Focus on customers that make a significant impact.
- Decline opportunities that dilute focus.
- Protect pricing and avoid unnecessary exclusivity.
- Escalate structural commercial decisions appropriately.
Qualifications
- Degree in chemistry, formulation science, materials science, or a related field.
- 5-10+ years of experience in cosmetics & personal care sales or specialty ingredients.
- Demonstrated track record of converting technical validation into commercial agreements.
- Experience working directly with formulators and/or recognized cosmetic brands.
- Strong negotiation capability and commercial judgement.
- Self-directed and comfortable managing a segment in a lean, scaling environment.

- Not a volume-driven territory sales role.
- Not suited for someone who requires extensive corporate infrastructure.
