Job Opportunity: Structured Products Trader
We are searching for a Structured Products Trader to join our Flow & Derivatives Trading Desk, with a strong focus on optionality-driven topics in Southern Europe. In this role, you will work closely with Origination teams in Spain and Italy, managing power and gas trading activities. This is a unique opportunity to combine analytical expertise with commercial acumen in one of the most dynamic energy markets.
Your Accountabilities
- Pricing Excellence: Apply and enhance pricing tools to manage deal flow, focusing on PPAs, VPPs, and other structures from Italian and Spanish counterparties.
- Trading Management: Oversee positions across the energy curve, capturing value through country and time spreads.
- Strategic Trading: Design and execute trading ideas, expressing market views through innovative strategies.
- Collaboration: Contribute to the team’s business development on optionality-related topics by supporting traders with experience in more linear products.
- Market Insight: Monitor market trends and developments, delivering actionable insights to guide trading decisions.
Your Profile
- 7-10 years of Energy Trading experience, focusing on structured, asset-backed, and optionality-driven deals in the Italian or Spanish markets.
- Deep expertise in options trading, with a strong grasp of pricing, volatility, and strategy.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive mindset with a proven ability to spot and seize trading opportunities.
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Italian, Spanish, or Portuguese is a strong plus.
