Strategic Account Manager Surgery - Johnson & Johnson

We are seeking a Senior Strategic Account Manager to join our sales team, drive market expansion, and deliver innovative surgical solutions to our customers. Roles & Responsibilities

Strategic Account Management is an essential part of the future business strategy for the Johnson & Johnson companies. It is how we will go to market as a Surgery organization and will be critical to our future growth plans. With this approach to our non-clinical customers, we can demonstrate the long-term value of partnership and our impact on patient care.

  • As Strategic Account Manager, you will report to the Lead of Strategic Account Management for Surgery and be responsible for developing mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with clinical and non-clinical partners in designated key accounts.
  • In conjunction with the Business Units, you will develop and lead the account strategy to drive additional profitable sales and market share growth within Hospitals, Hospital Groups, and Group Purchasing Organizations.
  • Together with the clinical team, you will coordinate and support the proposal development process, presenting opportunities and risks along with their implications to the necessary management levels.
  • As a key driver of our Value-Based Health Care Strategy, you will lead negotiations for commercial agreements and coordinate their execution across care centers in collaboration with the Business Unit and Shared Functions (Pricing, Services & Solutions, HEMA, etc.).
  • You will represent Johnson & Johnson Surgery for our commercial partners in strategic accounts.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration or a relevant field is preferred.
  • Several years of clinical experience in a Sales Manager or Key Account Manager role, with proven experience in managing non-clinical partnerships.
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare market and the local regulatory/policy environment; adept at identifying short-term and long-term factors impacting the business.
  • Experience in contract negotiations and deal structuring.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in German to professionally represent Johnson & Johnson’s MedTech in the country; strong English skills (written and spoken) are required; proficiency in a second official language is preferred.
  • French language skills in writing and speaking are a plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills, high self-confidence, courage, and conviction.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with solid business acumen.
  • Project management capabilities with the ability to lead complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong team spirit and a collaborative mindset.
