Strategic Account Manager Surgery

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Strategic Account Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the future business strategy for Johnson & Johnson’s Surgery organization. Here’s what you will be responsible for:

  • Reporting to the Lead of Strategic Account Management for Surgery, you will develop mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with clinical and non-clinical partners in designated key accounts.
  • In collaboration with Business Units, you will create and lead the account strategy to drive profitable sales and market share growth within Hospitals, Hospital Groups, and Group Purchasing Organizations.
  • Coordinate and support the proposal development process with the clinical team, presenting opportunities and risks to the relevant management levels.
  • As a key driver of our Value-Based Health Care Strategy, you will lead negotiations for commercial agreements and coordinate their execution across care centers, working alongside the Business Unit and Shared Functions.
  • You will serve as the representative of Johnson & Johnson Surgery for commercial partners in strategic accounts.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration or a relevant field is preferred.
  • Several years of clinical experience in a Sales Manager or Key Account Manager role, with a proven track record in managing non-clinical partnerships.
  • A deep understanding of the healthcare market and local regulatory/policy environment, with the ability to identify business-impacting factors.
  • Experience in contract negotiations and deal structuring.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German to represent Johnson & Johnson MedTech professionally; strong English proficiency is also required. Proficiency in a second official language is preferred.
  • French language skills in writing and speaking are advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation skills, self-confidence, courage, and conviction.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with solid business acumen.
  • Project management capabilities to lead complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • A strong team spirit and collaborative mindset.
