About the Role
The Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) Subledger Analytics team is searching for a highly motivated individual to lead end-to-end IFRS 17/9 subledger transformation projects. This will involve complex specification and testing of SAP FPSL accounting processes across various international reinsurance markets. Your contributions will be vital to the success of key process changes within the Finance landscape, alongside extensive collaboration with colleagues from diverse Business and Product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing cross-border financial reporting specifications under IFRS 17/9, transforming complex functional requirements into technical SAP FPSL solutions.
- Developing proof-of-concept testing and translating successful approaches into business requirement documentation.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation.
- Identifying key risks associated with functionality changes and defining testing strategies to mitigate these risks, as well as broader regression risks.
- Performing regression testing on existing functionality and after new changes are implemented.
- Effectively presenting and communicating complex information to diverse stakeholders.
- Conducting quantitative and financial analysis of IFRS 9/17 results, with the capability to model outcomes across different regulatory frameworks beyond Europe.
- Supporting junior colleagues and investing in their training to strengthen the team over the long term.
- Ensuring the integrity of multi-source global data, performing in-depth analysis using SQL, Stargate, Artemis, and Advanced Excel in line with IFRS standards.
- Assisting in preparing audit documentation and evidence, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial results.

The Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) unit is dedicated to the accurate and consistent accounting and reporting of financial information for Swiss Re. This includes IFRS for the Group and statutory financial information for all Swiss Re legal entities, including SST and Solvency II. GFO&T leads the transformation of Global Finance, striving for a simpler and more forward-looking organization.

About You
You are a detail-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and successfully meets tight deadlines. Your Profile
- A bachelor's degree in finance, preferably with a Post-Graduate Degree in Finance, Economics, or Mathematics.
- 8+ years of international experience with IFRS 17/9 implementation in SAP FPSL across multi-jurisdictional environments.
- Strong understanding of SAP FPSL functionalities.
- Recognized subject matter expertise in IFRS 17/9, including applications in emerging markets and an understanding of actuarial processes for integration with FPSL.
- Practical ability to anticipate IFRS 17/9 results for various accounting scenarios.
- Experience integrating custom programs into financial processes to enrich input data.
- Ability to create clear and concise product documentation for training, maintenance, and support.
- Flexible and resilient, managing your workload during peak periods.
- A curious, open-minded, and passionate self-starter who initiates projects.
- Strong teamwork skills to build relationships across technical fields, working effectively across the end-to-end reinsurance reporting landscape.
- Experience mentoring and training junior colleagues to enhance their skills and career development.

- Fluent in English, both written and oral.
Nice to Have
- Expertise in multiple regulatory frameworks, including US Statutory Reporting and statutory frameworks in Asia/Africa.
- IFRS 17 Implementation Experience using SAP FPSL.
- Experience in training and managing small teams.
- Proficiency in Mandarin or Hindi would be advantageous.
