Exciting Opportunity: Technical Senior Specialist

As a Technical Senior Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing technical quality at On T1 suppliers across EMEA and Turkey. Based in Zurich, you will be a vital member of our globally integrated sourcing team within the Apparel & Accessories division, with occasional travel throughout the EMEA region as needed.
Your Mission
- Standardize construction and production technology for premium apparel and accessories by developing and documenting comprehensive technical specifications and best practices for product assembly. This ensures consistent quality, durability, and a premium aesthetic finish, facilitating efficient, scalable production while upholding high craftsmanship.
- Assess the technical capabilities of suppliers, leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as bonding, laser/ultrasonic processes, and sublimation printing to elevate their standards to premium levels.
- Conduct development sample inspections to identify quality issues, assess product safety, evaluate production feasibility, and propose solutions to enhance premium quality while minimizing costs and maximizing productivity.
- Act as a key representative for the Technical & Quality team in special projects aimed at launching new products, processes, and technologies focused on achieving premiumization.
- Bulk Production Quality Assurance:
- Oversee and monitor factory technical audits and supplier performance improvements.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of new and carry-over products during bulk production.
- Manage problem-solving initiatives related to technical, quality, process, and system issues during bulk production.
Your Story
- Diploma or degree in Apparel Technology, Fashion Technology, Garment Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, and finishing standards.
- 7-10 years of experience in apparel development and manufacturing.
- Extensive experience with functional sportswear (woven and knitted); premium/luxury quality experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with teams and international suppliers.
- Willingness to travel to supplier locations in Europe.
- An entrepreneurial spirit with a strong sense of responsibility and the capacity to drive project management.
