Job Overview:
This role will be responsible for project and process management, ensuring continued success within the Performance All Day (PAD) category at On. As a Senior Footwear Developer, you will oversee projects throughout the development process of high-performance products, managing everything from the initial concept to production and commercialization. Collaboration with Product Managers, Designers, and the Lead of Product Development will be key to your role.

Your Mission:
- You will own and represent the product development process for the Performance All Day category at On.
- Utilizing your advanced knowledge, you will execute development for performance footwear.
- Collaboration with our teams in Zurich and Vietnam, along with design and product marketing, is essential to realize functional footwear products while adhering to the product creation calendar.
- Define effective methods for managing the product creation process, including conducting meetings during each development phase to ensure on-time production.
- Provide expert knowledge and recommendations on materials, components, and construction options to meet pricing targets and functional requirements.
- Plan and execute development processes according to critical dates and team/company goals.
- Monitor costs and identify areas for product efficiencies.
- Work closely with our testing team and biomechanics experts for successful validation and testing of products, while managing the sampling and prototyping phases.
- Collaborate with the innovation team to commercialize new innovations in our Performance All Day Footwear product line.
Your Story:
- Higher education degree preferred; 6+ years of experience in the footwear industry or as a footwear developer.
- Proven advanced knowledge and experience in the end-to-end product development process for performance footwear.
- Demonstrated skill in managing product creation processes from concept to on-time production.
- Strong collaborative abilities with diverse teams across geographical locations, such as Zurich and Vietnam.
- Expert-level understanding of footwear materials, components, and construction options.
- Skilled in planning and executing development processes to meet critical deadlines.
- Experience in monitoring product costs and identifying efficiency opportunities.
- Proficient in managing sampling and prototyping phases of product development.
- Able to work closely with innovation teams to bring new innovations to market within performance footwear.
