Job Description

Business Case Leadership: You will lead the business case assessment for DAC projects during the project development phase.

Financial Modeling: You will build and maintain business case models utilizing technical and financial inputs, such as cost, performance, and project-specific data.

Business Case Optimization: You will support project managers with sensitivity analyses and insights for optimizing business cases, aligning scenarios with input owners.

Reporting: You will ensure clear and consistent communication of project metrics to steering committees, the executive team, and the board of directors. This includes ensuring comparability of results and confidence levels across projects.

Model Improvement: You will maintain and enhance tools for user-friendly KPI calculation, conduct sensitivity analyses, and manage rigorous changes to all parameters.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will work closely with technical and financial stakeholders to provide consistent inputs and deliver project-specific reporting, including for external or publicly funded projects.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: A BSc or equivalent in business, economics, or a related quantitative discipline is required. A degree that combines business and technical education (e.g., industrial engineering, management & technology) is a plus.
  • Professional Experience: 2–4 years of work experience in asset or infrastructure projects, preferably in the energy or chemical industries, with expertise in business case ownership, project finance, and change management.
  • Skills & Expertise: Strong knowledge of the front-end loading (FEL) process, strategic project prioritization, and creative problem-solving in uncertain environments, as well as the ability to design innovative commercial structures.
  • Integrity & Openness: Commitment to fostering collaboration through transparency, fairness, and ethical decision-making.
  • Mindset & Qualities: Dynamic, resilient, and collaborative, with excellent negotiation and communication skills in English.
