We are seeking an experienced Senior Print and Graphics Designer who possesses a passion for color, storytelling, and innovation in performance apparel. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to shaping the visual language of our collections, ranging from bold statements led by athletes to elegant commercial executions. You will drive the seasonal graphic and print direction across various categories, guiding projects from concept to final production, while closely collaborating with global design, development, and materials teams.

Your Mission
- Define and execute the seasonal print and graphic direction for apparel collections in collaboration with the Head of Apparel Design and Creative Direction.
- Lead concept development, research, and trend exploration to translate cultural, color, and material trends into innovative graphic narratives for both performance and lifestyle products.
- Create original all-over prints, placement graphics, trims, and embellishments, evolving concepts from hand-drawn sketches to digital artwork.
- Develop commercial take-downs from premier athlete collections to ensure brand cohesion across tiers.
- Take ownership of tech pack creation, ensuring color separations, repeats, and placement details are production-ready and accurate.
- Utilize CLO 3D / V-Stitcher to visualize artwork placement, scale, and proportion on garments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Development, Merchandising, and Fabric teams to produce market-relevant designs that align with both technical and cultural needs.
- Partner with suppliers throughout the production process, providing strike-off feedback and ensuring color accuracy and print consistency across vendors.
- Research and implement innovative print and application techniques, driving advancements in sustainability and material efficiency.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the brand’s graphic identity, ensuring alignment between performance and style narratives.
- Mentor junior designers, sharing best practices in design processes, production accuracy, and creative exploration.
Your Story
- BA or equivalent in Textile Design, Graphic Design, or Surface Design.
- 7+ years of experience in print and graphic design within the fashion and sportswear sectors, with a demonstrated ability to translate creative concepts into technically sound, high-impact products.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and working knowledge of CLO 3D / V-Stitcher.
- Strong understanding of print techniques, color separations, grading, and material applications across both luxury and performance contexts.
- A keen eye for color, composition, and brand storytelling.
- Experience in leading design direction and collaborating across various categories and teams.
- Proven ability to deliver sustainable design innovations and minimize waste through print engineering or process refinement.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, comfortably sharing creative direction with senior stakeholders.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and proactive in managing multiple seasonal timelines.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
About the Team
You will be joining a highly creative Apparel Design Team based in Zurich. Embedded within the Global Design Studio responsible for all of On’s disruptive product designs, the Apparel Design team collaborates closely with colleagues in Accessories Design, Design Direction, Footwear Design, and Innovation Design. Together, all designers work alongside Developers, Product Managers, and Innovation teams towards fulfilling On’s mission of igniting the power of the human spirit through movement.
