Senior AI & Transformation Engineer - Permanent - NJ/NYC

Proclinical is partnering with a dynamic pharmaceutical organization in search of a Senior AI Solutions Engineer to spearhead AI transformation across the business. This high-impact role merges hands-on AI engineering with strategic business transformation and effective stakeholder leadership.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities where AI can create meaningful value and guide teams towards the right solutions.
• Personally lead advanced AI initiatives from concept through to production.

Skills & Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, AI development, or technology consulting.
• 3+ years of experience building Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Model (LLM)-based solutions.
• Strong hands-on skills in Python.
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, agentic AI, and multi-agent systems.
• Proven experience deploying AI solutions in production environments.
• Experience leading complex technical projects and collaborating with senior business stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including version control, CI/CD, testing, and containerization.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of bridging gaps between technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in consulting, regulated industries, AI enablement/training, MLOps, or enterprise infrastructure would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead AI initiatives across multiple business functions, from intake and scoping through implementation and adoption.
• Design and deliver GenAI solutions, including LLM applications, RAG pipelines, agentic AI systems, and multi-agent workflows.
• Partner with business leaders, IT, and technical teams to identify and prioritize high-value AI use cases.
• Define technical architecture and guide solutions through to production.
• Enable non-technical teams to effectively utilize conversational AI, custom assistants, and low/no-code AI tools.
• Review AI solutions for quality, scalability, and production readiness.
• Drive broader AI adoption and transformation across the organization.

Compensation:

The salary for this position adheres to regulatory guidelines and must be disclosed in specific states, including California, Colorado, Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Jersey City in NJ, New York State, Albany County, Ithaca, NYC, Westchester County, and Washington.
