About the Business Unit Robotics
The Business Unit Robotics focuses on the development, production, and distribution of pipetting robots designed to automate liquid handling processes. Our solutions cater to a diverse range of customers, spanning the pharmaceutical and food industries, as well as cell and DNA research.
How You Can Make a Difference
- Develop, test, and maintain complex software solutions for laboratory automation and robotics systems.
- Support the Product Owner in requirements definition and the Software Architect in design and architecture. Implement and optimize functionality and automated tests, perform code reviews, and ensure the quality of documentation.
- Evaluate and introduce AI-assisted tools and methods to enhance productivity and software quality.
- Ensure performance, quality, maintainability, and reliability of software, including its technical documentation.
- Actively participate in a Scrum team, contributing experience and expertise, while also coaching and supporting less experienced colleagues in problem-solving.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, embedded, and application engineers for effective software and hardware integration.
What You Bring Along
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field, coupled with several years of professional experience as a Senior Software Engineer in developing complex software systems.
- Strong foundation in software engineering, including architecture, design patterns, clean code, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Excellent knowledge of C#/ .NET; familiarity with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Angular is advantageous.
- Experience with AI tools, such as AI-assisted coding and generative AI; a keen interest in integrating these technologies into the development process.
- Experience with instruments and automation systems is a plus.
- Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style, combined with a high degree of personal responsibility and technical judgment.
- Openness to new technologies and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration in interdisciplinary teams.
- Fluency in German and English, with a minimum proficiency level of B2 required.
