Your Mission

As a Senior SEO Manager, you will be responsible for driving organic growth from Search Engines and AI Search Interfaces across multiple business units at SMG, including Real Estate, Automotive, General Marketplaces, and Finance. Your role extends beyond merely optimizing pages; you will play a key part in shaping product features, scalable landing page systems, and platform capabilities that foster long-term organic growth. Acting as a bridge between Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data, you will ensure that SEO is seamlessly integrated into our product development process. Your goal is to convert user demand into scalable platform growth.

What You Will Do

  • Growth & Strategy
    • Own and execute roadmap initiatives.
    • Translate search demand into product initiatives and growth opportunities.
    • Plan initiatives based on hypotheses, impact estimation, and ROI potential.
    • Identify scalable growth levers like indexation, internal linking, landing page generation, and content systems.
    • Understand user behavior across different search and discovery platforms, adapting your strategy accordingly.
  • Product-Led SEO
    • Collaboration with Product Managers to integrate SEO into product development.
    • Define SEO requirements for new features and scalable platform capabilities across SMG’s portfolio.
    • Build frameworks that enable sustainable growth beyond manual optimizations.
    • Help teams understand the significance of SEO, not just the implementation process.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Act as a trusted advisor to Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams.
    • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Drive alignment and ownership across teams.
  • Data & Experimentation
    • Formulate hypotheses and validate them using data.
    • Monitor performance and iterate based on findings.
    • Measure success through business impact rather than vanity metrics.
    • Collaborate with analysts and engineers to enhance tracking and reporting.

Qualifications

What will you bring to the table?

  • 5+ years of SEO experience with large websites (marketplaces, classifieds, real estate, or platforms).
  • Experience working alongside Product teams in agile environments.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders effectively.
  • Data-driven mindset, capable of transforming insights into actionable strategies.
  • Ability to plan and support initiatives with business impact estimates.
  • Hands-on knowledge of technical SEO (crawling, indexing, rendering).
  • A proactive, ownership-driven “go-getter” attitude.
  • A growth mindset and curiosity for experimentation.
  • Fluency in English.

Bonus:

  • Experience in Product-Led SEO.
  • Background in large-scale landing page systems.
  • Familiarity with marketplace or classifieds platforms.
  • Experience with AI search and GEO.
