Position Summary: Postdoctoral Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented scientist to join our dynamic team as a Postdoc for a 3-year term. This role will focus on advancing our understanding of the mechanisms underlying chemosensory perception and cognition, particularly olfactory learning in humans. The successful candidate will engage in innovative research and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and conduct innovative research studies on odor learning.
• Analyze behavioral, physiological, and neuroimaging data.
• Identify and implement innovative research methods and data analysis approaches to scale-up laboratory research to consumer science (e.g., Shiny apps, dashboards).
• Present research findings to a broad audience.
• Collaborate with internal and external research partners.
• Prepare and publish high-quality research papers for peer-reviewed journals.
• Assist in patent documentation to support intellectual property protection efforts.

You Bring:

• Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience, Psychology, or a related field.
• 3 years of research experience in chemoperception, perception, or cognition, supported by a track record of scientific publications.
• Proficiency in behavioral and one or more neuroscientific methods (e.g., M/EEG, fMRI, peripheral physiology). Experience with the analysis of iEEG data is a plus.
• Expertise in advanced statistical analysis, including machine learning and programming (e.g., R, Python, Matlab).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• French language skills and experience with Swiss Ethics will be advantageous.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• A demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience with odor stimulation is a plus.
