Senior SAP IS-U Integration Consultant / Technical Lead

We are currently supporting a major utilities client in Romania who is seeking an experienced Senior SAP IS-U Integration Consultant / Technical Lead to join their project immediately. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale SAP IS-U integration programme, leading technical integration activities across multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Design and define interface contracts, mappings, and validation rules across SAP IS-U modules.
• Design RFC/REST integrations with future S/4HANA and OData compatibility in mind.
• Develop or enhance RFC-enabled Function Modules, BAPIs, and ABAP wrappers.
• Configure RFC destinations, technical users, authorisations, and connectivity.
• Support data migration, delta extraction, reconciliation, and error handling.
• Coordinate SAP transports across Development, Test, and Production environments.
• Troubleshoot SAP integration, authorisation, and performance issues.
• Support SIT, UAT, cutover, and hypercare activities.
• Produce technical documentation and operational procedures.

Required Experience

• Strong SAP IS-U implementation or integration experience.
• SAP ECC 6.0 EHP8.
• ABAP development.
• RFCs and BAPIs experience.
• REST APIs and SAP Gateway/OData knowledge.
• SAP Authorisations and Transport Management expertise.
• Experience with SAP PI/PO and IDocs is highly desirable.
• Utilities industry experience (electricity, gas, or water).
• Experience working with high-volume master and transactional data.
• Strong English communication skills.

Project Details

• Remote within Romania.
• Open to Romanian nationals only.
• ASAP start.
• 8-month contract.
• Part-time initially before transitioning to full-time.
