Your Mission

Job Description

  • Quality Ownership & Purpose: Ensure robust quality control and quality assurance for sorbent materials and related QC processes in a dynamic scale-up environment, delivering compliant, inspection-ready outcomes.
  • Quality Control Execution: Plan and coordinate QC campaigns for sorbents, oversee measurements to meet timelines, and maintain inspection-ready documentation within SAP QM and linked systems.
  • Quality Assurance Ownership: Manage deviations and change controls from QC activities, ensuring accurate root-cause analysis and method validation activities.
  • QC Process Improvement & Risk Management: Identify bottlenecks in QC processes and implement lean improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce compliance risks.
  • Interfaces & Collaboration: Act as the QC technical interface to suppliers and manufacturers, supporting Procurement and aligning QC deliverables with plant requirements.
  • Decision Rights: Decide on QC record quality and investigation strategies, recommend corrective actions, and escalate issues affecting product quality or delivery timing.

Your Story

Requirements

  • Educational Background: A degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry; an advanced degree is a plus, along with strong laboratory experience.
  • Industry Experience: At least five years of industrial experience in specialty chemicals, polymers, resins, or advanced materials manufacturing with a proven track record in quality control.
  • Analytical Expertise: Proficient in material characterization and release testing methods such as GC, IC, HPLC, and others.
  • Method Validation and Data Integrity: Expertise in method validation, including protocol design, specification definition, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Quality Systems and Documentation: Proven experience in maintaining inspection-ready documentation and operating within ISO quality frameworks.
  • Supplier and Manufacturer Audits: Experienced in conducting audits, assessing quality systems, and ensuring effective corrective actions.
  • Digital Tools and Collaboration: Proficient with LIMS and SAP QM, collaborating effectively across departments.
  • Communication: Clear and pragmatic communication skills in English.

This position is based in Opfikon, Zurich, with a request to work on site at least three days per week. The role offers flexibility, with options for full-time or part-time work based on your preferences.
