Position Available: Senior Project Manager

We are on the lookout for a Senior Project Manager to oversee two projects, each engaging 40-50% of your time.

KTT Expert, ACHIEVE Consortium

Your primary responsibility will be serving as the Knowledge and Technology Transfer (KTT) Expert within the ACHIEVE consortium, part of the SWEET funding program by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE). The ACHIEVE project aims to support Switzerland's net-zero transition by working alongside stakeholders from various sectors to develop scientifically grounded roadmaps. In this role, you will facilitate the translation of research insights into actionable knowledge, tools, and processes for practitioners and decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Overall Project Management: Collaborate with the consortium leader and scientific integration expert to execute the project effectively, ensuring strategic alignment with objectives, timely milestone achievements, and efficient resource allocation.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Co-Creation: Lead the planning and implementation of stakeholder engagement activities, such as workshops, roundtables, and webinars, while continuously mapping stakeholders and documenting knowledge needs and contributions.
• Communication & Dissemination: Coordinate the creation and distribution of communication materials aimed at stakeholders, including policy briefs and social media content.
• Monitoring & Impact Tracking: Track stakeholder uptake and integration of project outputs, including technology adoption and pilot project initiation.

Additional sus.lab Projects

• Lead and manage first-of-its-kind industry-related projects.
• Oversee the development and publication of project deliverables in partnership with various stakeholders.
• Manage project budgets and teams.
• Identify and secure new projects focused on decarbonization and the circular economy.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or higher) in sustainability, environmental policy, engineering, environmental science, business, or a related field.
• 3-4 years of work experience in sustainability consulting, policy analysis, or transdisciplinary research.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, enabling effective interaction with leaders in research, industry, and policy.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in English and at least one Swiss national language (German, French, or Italian) at C1 level (both written and spoken).
• Reside in Switzerland and will work on-site in Zurich (remote work is not available).
• Able to commence work by March 2026 at the latest.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in designing and facilitating participatory workshops and dialogues.
• Ability to translate complex technical content into accessible formats.
• Familiarity with climate policy, decarbonization pathways, or carbon capture technologies.
• Engagement experience with Swiss policy, industry, or civil society organizations.

Contract Details

This position initially offers a one-year contract per ETH guidelines, with the intention for multi-year employment based on performance.
