Senior Product Manager Spine - Zuchwil, Switzerland (m/w)

As a leader in the Swiss market, DePuy Synthes Spine has played a crucial role in delivering innovative surgical solutions, assisting healthcare practitioners in restoring the lives of their patients.

Reporting directly to the Marketing Lead for Spine in Switzerland, the successful candidate will oversee a diverse range of Spine product brands, technologies, and services. This role is vital for the development and execution of a comprehensive multi-year product and service strategy, complemented by corresponding annual marketing plans. The candidate will also provide complete clinical and commercial support to our sales team and clients within the designated product and service segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for assigned products, technologies, and service segments, and for achieving business goals.
  • Acting as the product owner and expert for assigned products in Switzerland.
  • Conducting ongoing market analysis and performance evaluations for existing brands and new products to effectively manage the product life cycle.
  • Enhancing profitability through proficient product mix management.
  • Identifying industry trends and relevant competitive insights.
  • Implementing and maintaining a thorough understanding of competitor products and strategies within the local market.
  • Assessing new business opportunities for the designated product and service segments.
  • Developing and executing strategies for assigned product and service segments, as well as planning new product introductions.
  • Preparing and implementing annual marketing plans to achieve business goals.
  • Supporting the sales team and customers with new product introductions through engaging presentations, high-quality clinical support, and tailored training programs.
  • Building and nurturing a relevant network with clinical Key Opinion Leaders and stakeholders to understand their needs and convert them into business opportunities.
  • Coordinating participation in congresses, marketing events, and professional education sessions.
  • Collaborating with national and international teams, including customer service, sales, marketing, and external partners, to drive execution and fulfill marketing plans related to the designated product and service segments.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A university degree or equivalent in a technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales and/or marketing within the medical device sector.
  • Preferably experienced in the Spine and/or Enabling Technology industries.
  • Prior experience in Orthopaedics or a global/regional marketing team is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English and German is required (knowledge of French or Italian is beneficial).
  • This position is based in Zuchwil and Zug, Switzerland, and involves up to 25% travel.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, alongside an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively in matrix environments.
  • Strong capability to build trust and foster effective interactions.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficient in the MS Office suite, especially in Excel and PowerPoint, including advanced skills in AI applications.

As part of Johnson & Johnson’s plans to separate our Orthopaedics business, we are establishing a standalone orthopaedics company that will operate as DePuy Synthes. This process is expected to conclude within 18 to 24 months, contingent upon legal and regulatory requirements.
