Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Product Lifecycle Manager (PLM) for FMCG and CPG clients (f/m/x), you will serve as a client-facing practitioner responsible for selling, leading, and implementing expert services utilizing the breadth of IBM's offerings and technologies. A successful Consultant is seen by clients as a trusted business advisor, working collaboratively to deliver innovative solutions that address the most challenging business problems.
You will engage in projects that assist clients in integrating strategy, process, technology, and information to enhance effectiveness, reduce costs, and improve profit and shareholder value. You will have opportunities to master new skills, work across various disciplines, tackle new challenges, and develop a thorough understanding of different industries.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic leadership and developing advanced digital PLM initiatives for global FMCG and CPG companies.
- Ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of all PLM projects and serving as the first point of contact for escalations regarding delivery issues.
- Overseeing the PLM integration with cutting-edge technologies—including IoT, automation, data analytics, and AI—to maximize operational efficiency and productivity.
- Leading the technical aspects of the PLM platform across design, configuration, integration, and deployment.
- Conducting business workshops and translating business process requirements into scalable technical designs and system architectures.
- Leading system integration efforts across the digital ecosystem (e.g., ERP, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing systems).
- Guiding data architecture decisions to ensure accurate and consistent product data flow throughout the product value chain.
- Overseeing deployment activities, including technical planning, data migration, testing, issue resolution, and hypercare.
- Ensuring product compliance with security, data governance, and architecture standards.
- Mentoring and supporting PLM deployments globally and key users to drive system adoption and long-term success.
- Developing strategic thinking and leadership skills, with strong abilities in relationship management, flexibility/adaptability, and accountability to achieve targeted business outcomes.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 15 to 20 years of experience in PLM digital transformation within CPG & process industries, with knowledge of business processes.
- Proven track record in managing delivery, operations, or teams; a seasoned leader who thrives on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Deep understanding of industry business processes such as Idea to Market, Change and Configuration Management, Formula and Recipe Management, eBOM and mBOM Management, Pack and Artwork Management, and Variant Management.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Agile PLM, Aras Innovator PLM, ECAD/MCAD, and downstream systems integrations, SDLC, and proficiency in working on qualification protocols (IQ/CQ/OQ/PQ) for GxP applications.
- Ability to develop transformation program plans using an agile-based implementation approach for large-scale engagements.
- Effectively interact with global cross-functional teams and translate business process requirements into PLM.
- Expertise in managing PLM IT projects from RFI/RFP phase to Run & Support, including PLM IT upgrades & enhancements, and conducting CSV with Oracle Agile PLM, and Aras Innovator PLM in regulated firms according to 21 CFR Part 11, IDMP Compliance, Annex 16, and GxP regulations.
- Good understanding of SDLC practices, with experience using tools like JIRA, Git, Jenkins, and Confluence.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills; capable of effectively communicating with senior leaders to drive resolution and decisions.
- Fluency in English is a must.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Experience in supporting PLM projects during presales, RFI/RFP involving PTC and Siemens PLM applications.
- Experience preferably within R&D and manufacturing sectors.
- Oracle Product Lifecycle Management Cloud 2024 certified Specialist.
- Advanced CAD software expertise (Siemens NX).
- Advanced manufacturing and PLM 4.0 certification.
