We are seeking an experienced Senior Private Banker (Hunter) to establish and grow a portfolio of client relationships in Turkey. This role involves providing expert advice on products and personalized services to High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs) and Ultra High-Net-Worth Individuals (UHNWs). Ideal candidates will possess a goal-oriented mindset, a results-driven approach, and a proven track record of delivering exceptional performance while achieving set targets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a portfolio of client relationships, focusing on HNWI and UHNWI clients in Turkey, while providing tailored advice on products and services.
- Collaborate with the Investments team to develop comprehensive solutions for clients in managing, generating, and transferring their wealth.
- Deliver top-quality service to achieve revenue targets.
- Acquire private and institutional clients, including private clients, External Asset Managers, and financial institutions.
- Conduct regular visits and meetings with clients and prospects, identifying new business opportunities and nurturing existing relationships.
- Analyze diverse investment opportunities, offering clients sound advice on investment options, private placements, and other product offerings.
- Contribute to the profitability and competitive positioning of the Bank's value proposition.
- Ensure compliance with the regulatory framework, as well as internal regulations and guidelines, to minimize risks.
- Advocate for and adhere to internal policies and procedures.
Profile:
Education and Professional Qualifications:
- University degree in Finance or Business.
- Professional certifications related to the financial industry are beneficial (e.g., CWMA).
- A Master’s Degree in Finance or relevant experience is preferred.
- A minimum of 10-15 years of substantial experience in Private Banking and the Financial Industry, with at least 5 years focused on the Turkish market.
- Excellent knowledge of financial statement analysis and accounting standards.
- Demonstrated research experience in emerging markets.
- Strong understanding of financial products and asset classes.
- Well-informed about market competition, industry practices, and regulations pertaining to the private banking sector.
Required Skills:
- A solid personal and professional network in Turkey, specifically within the HNWI-UHNW community.
- A proven track record of building relationships, acquiring clients, and providing exceptional service.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills; the ability to listen, guide, and advise both external clients and internal partners.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proactive questioning of the status quo, delivering fact-based conclusions.
- Concise and direct communication skills, even under pressure, coupled with active knowledge sharing.
- Agility and flexibility in business and problem-solving approaches.
- An excellent team player, highly motivated with a strong commitment to the role.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills in Turkish and English; proficiency in French is an asset.
- A curious, flexible, and highly motivated personality with common sense.
- The ability to work autonomously while also being a collaborative team member with a “can do” attitude.
- Proactively client-oriented with robust communication skills.
- Proficiency in IT tools, including Bloomberg and/or similar platforms; prior experience with Avaloq is an advantage.
