Description of the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Investment Analyst with in-depth expertise in precious metals mining equities. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting technical and financial assessments of mining assets, focusing on gold and silver, utilizing DCF models and resource-based valuation methods.
- Preparing investment cases, which include sensitivity analyses and stress testing.
- Performing on-site due diligence of mining operations globally, including remote locations.
- Participating in international mining conferences and industry events.
- Collaborating with technical experts, management teams, and industry stakeholders.
- Supporting investor communication, marketing, and fundraising activities.
Requirements
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A Master’s degree (MSc) or higher in Finance, Economics, Geology, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in analyzing precious metals mining equities from both technical and financial perspectives.
- Proven experience in building financial models, including DCF and resource-based valuation.
- A strong understanding of geological and mining concepts.
- An established professional network within the mining industry.
- Experience interacting with brokers and capital markets participants.
- A willingness to travel internationally, including to remote locations.
- Knowledge of the Swiss regulatory environment (e.g., FinSA conduct rules) is an advantage.
- Fluency in English.
