Job Description
As our Senior Performance Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role within the Group Marketing team. Collaborating with all SMG Swiss Marketplace Group business units, you will join a dedicated team of digital and performance marketing experts. Your contributions will significantly impact our overall success.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and continuous optimization of Search Engine Advertising (SEA) activities across multiple SMG brands, ensuring scalable and sustainable growth.
- Own the Google Ads best practices while providing support to other performance marketing channels such as Paid Social, Programmatic, and Display as required.
- Act as a strategic consultant to Business Units, advising on performance marketing best practices tailored to their specific business models, including conversion strategy, campaign structure, actionable recommendations, and growth opportunities.
- Manage the operational workflow across Business Units by streamlining task prioritization, assignment, and ensuring timely deliverables while coordinating with Data teams for accurate execution.
- Drive performance through a strong data-driven mindset by establishing structured testing frameworks to identify optimization opportunities and unlock new growth levers.
- Proactively challenge existing processes to identify opportunities for optimization across teams.
Qualifications
- Native German speaker (mandatory) and fluent in English (our business language).
- Over 9 years of experience in digital performance marketing, with a deep expertise in Paid Search (SEA) and a proven track record of managing and scaling Google Ads campaigns in complex, multi-brand environments.
- Ability to bridge technical (data/analytics) and marketing teams, translating business needs into actionable implementations.
- Hands-on experience with Google Marketing Platform tools, including SA360, DV360, and CM360.
- Strong analytical skills, with practical knowledge in GA4, Looker Studio, Google Sheets, and Google Tag Manager.
- Solid experience in feed management and Google Shopping, leveraging product data for enhanced performance.
- Excellent operational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate workflows across multiple stakeholders.
- Proactive problem solver with a keen attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
