Job Opportunity: Senior Penetration Test Engineer (Freelance)

Location: Bucharest, Romania | Hybrid (1 day/week onsite)

Contract Duration: October 2026 to March 2027

RED Global is actively seeking an experienced Senior Penetration Test Engineer to join a highly secure, mission-critical environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled offensive security professional with strong expertise in penetration testing, ethical hacking, application security, and vulnerability exploitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration testing and security assessments across web, mobile, and desktop applications.
• Identify, validate, and exploit security vulnerabilities.
• Perform ethical hacking and offensive security exercises.
• Execute secure code reviews and application security assessments.
• Develop scripts, tools, and utilities to support testing activities.
• Evaluate security controls and provide remediation recommendations.
• Produce detailed technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Support remediation efforts and validate security fixes.
• Collaborate with international teams while working independently in a confidential environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in Information Security and IT Security Services.
• Strong hands-on penetration testing and ethical hacking experience.
• Proven expertise in application security assessments.
• Experience testing web, mobile, and thick-client applications.
• Strong vulnerability assessment and exploitation skills.
• Secure code review experience.
• Scripting and security tool development capabilities.
• Excellent reporting and communication skills.
• Professional English language skills.
