Experience

  • Functional operational or technical experience in the Packaging or Maintenance areas within the FMCG industry, with a minimum of 5 years.
  • Experience on the shop floor as a frontline leader managing packaging or technical operations (packaging, maintenance, projects) for at least 5 years.
  • Multicultural work experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies and mindsets such as Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, and WCM (e.g., Carlsberg Excellence Way of Working).
  • Knowledge and practical application of operational/technical standards in the beverage industry (e.g., COM).
  • Experience with packaging automation, equipment, and cost optimization is a plus.

Language

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Job Responsibilities

Carlsberg Operating Manual

  • Coordinates the Global COM Work Group to continuously enhance technology, processes, and performance standards based on global inputs.
  • Develops contributions for the Global Standards by sharing best practices and learnings from regional experiences.
  • Facilitates the exchange of best practices and technology transfer across regions.
  • Creates implementation guides, tools, and programs to assist breweries in complying with COM standards and enhancing performance.
  • Builds capabilities in breweries by deploying standards, tools, and programs, and participates in COM compliance audits while tracking the implementation of identified gaps.
  • Conducts reviews of regional self-assessments linked to performance gaps and opportunities.

Technical Expertise

  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of various packaging processes and machinery (Blowing, filling, labeling, packing, etc.), along with troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
  • Defines packaging operation and performance standards, as well as technical maintenance processes for PET, Can, and Glass.
  • Recognized as a technical expert regarding equipment maintenance and processes and advises on technical improvements, or as an operational expert in packaging line management and performance delivery.
  • Emphasizes the improvement of machine technical conditions and has experience with AM/PM/FI/T&D pillars of TPM.
  • Demonstrates the ability to identify and implement process improvements that enhance cost efficiency, OEE%, and safety.
  • Aims to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE%) through data-driven decision making, evaluation of capacity utilization, SKU complexity, and process optimization via Carlsberg Excellence Tools.
  • Capable of understanding and coaching key packaging methodologies such as LBO and Pit-Stop.

Value Engineering

  • Supports the qualification of specific new materials in supply chain and procurement, such as cans and bottles, in relation to various technologies’ operating windows concerning speeds and lightweighting.
  • Aids performance acceptance needs between group procurement materials strategy and machines ahead of introduction.
  • Evaluates capacity utilization and SKU complexity to set OEE% targets and eliminate non-value-adding expenditures.

Functional Interlinks

  • Ensures the development and application of EHS permit-to-work processes and audit systems.
  • Manages the MRO process, proving and qualifying new suppliers’ engineering inputs, consumption cycles, and material integrity.
  • Participates in excellence audits as part of the global team auditing plants for maintenance efficiency and effectiveness within the PM pillar.
  • Collaborates with packaging, excellence, and HR teams to develop standard global skills matrices for machinery.
