Senior Oracle DBA Position at Bank J. Safra Sarasin

As a Senior Oracle DBA at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you will play a crucial role in the operations and support of our Oracle environment on a global scale. Your expertise will contribute to providing a high-level storage service to the Bank's critical applications while driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Your Responsibilities

• Support operations through effective troubleshooting and incident management.
• Implement change requests (RFC) in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
• Optimize resource utilization by analyzing and proposing improvements while considering the life-cycle management of hosted applications.
• Develop and implement automated solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate in the ongoing development of the existing infrastructure and provide active support for migration projects.
• Execute recovery exercises and troubleshoot as part of the second-level support, including on-call services.

Your Profile

• Higher education (university/FH) in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 7 years of practical experience in database operations and engineering.
• Proficient knowledge of Oracle databases and PostgreSQL is essential.
• Experience with Ansible automation is a plus.
• Strong team player with the ability to identify and leverage synergies.
• Hands-on mentality with a willingness to take responsibility.
• Strong work ethic, integrity, and a high level of accountability.
• Fluency in English is required; fluency in German is an advantage.
