Your Mission

  • Lead and coordinate technical activities within your dedicated field, conducting high-complexity tasks without supervision.
  • Support product development in your engineering field as the local technical authority for metallic materials and surface treatments, serving as the first level of escalation.
  • Proactively communicate and align cross-functionally with adjacent engineering fields and departments outside of engineering, such as operations, quality, and procurement.
  • Support processes and product continuous improvements to meet customer quality, cost, and demand. Propose market-oriented initiatives to enhance existing products, technologies, and production processes.
  • Write and review technical documentation, project-related deliverables, and other specifications relevant to your field of work (e.g., Test Plan), adapting to product- and mission-specific requirements.
  • Utilize project management techniques and tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements.
  • Act as Work Package/Task Manager, owning technical, budget, and schedule responsibilities for tasks assigned by projects.
  • Participate in Non-Conformance Review Board activities according to the NC process, actively proposing technical solutions in your field of activity. Conduct technical risk management and perform Root Cause Analysis.
  • Serve as the technical authority in your field for the recruitment process, identifying and maintaining key technical skills within the department and ensuring standardization.
  • Coach junior engineers and external employees, reviewing their work and providing guidance.
  • Provide information on new products, processes, and technologies to engineering directorates.

Your Story

  • Master's degree or PhD in Material Science, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of technical experience in the field.
  • Profound knowledge in the following areas:
    • Metallic materials & processes, surface treatments, and adhesive bonding
    • Associated special processes (e.g., NDI)
    • Qualification, certification, and validation of materials and processes
  • Additional expertise in:
    • Composites, particularly carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP)
    • Non-metallic materials
  • Leadership skills combined with excellent communication abilities.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience in the space or aerospace sector.
  • Knowledge of the space industry and market.
  • Project Management Acumen.
