Your Mission

Job Description

As a Manufacturing Process Expert, you will be Climeworks' key authority on the operation of innovative manufacturing lines for sorbent filter production throughout development, startup, and operational phases.

You will:

  • Own all aspects of manufacturing process engineering to produce new sorbent filter material, collaborating with manufacturing engineers and product owners.
  • Understand process parameters and their impact on product quality.
  • Evaluate and fine-tune parameter ranges for equipment purchases and startup operations.
  • Lead the ramp-up of manufacturing processes, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Conduct and own process FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) before, during, and after the startup phase.
  • Ensure thorough documentation, training, and knowledge transfer across teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate closely with internal experts in R&D, characterization/quality, product design, and sorbent/process development to guarantee that manufacturing process parameters yield high-quality sorbent module products, while also supporting the development of new testing methodologies.

External Partnerships & Technical Leadership

Act as a crucial technical expert in partnerships with external entities, ensuring that DAC-specific requirements for sorbent filters manufacturing are met, including onsite monitoring of operations as necessary.

Team Player

Support lab-scale manufacturing in R&D and assist in evaluating new concepts for future-oriented DAC solutions, whenever needed.
