How You Can Make an Impact
As a Data Architect within our AI & Data team, you will guide senior client stakeholders in making the right architectural choices and lead the design and implementation of innovative enterprise-wide solutions.
Your significant impact will be in the following areas:
- Lead Enterprise Data Architecture Design: Assist clients in modernizing complex system landscapes that incorporate multiple solutions (e.g., MDM, CRM, ERP, Cloud DWH) requiring integration. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to design enterprise-level architecture, establish pragmatic architecture standards, and plan the modernization journey.
- Lead Cloud Data Platform Design & Implementation: Help clients build scalable, high-performance Cloud data platforms that align with business needs. Your work will encompass data modeling, data integration, transformation pipelines, DevOps, and utilizing AI to smartly build and operate these platforms. You will make key design decisions and lead engineering teams both onshore and near-/offshore in developing solutions.
- Architect Integrated Solutions: Facilitate the design and creation of integrations essential for business processes and data product delivery. This includes integrations between Cloud data platforms and AI/Gen AI platforms, or between MDM/CRM systems and Cloud data platforms.
- Strengthen Market Positioning and Opportunities Funnel: Lead our architectural footprint in the market through events, conferences, and discussions with key clients, internal teams, and alliance partners.
- Develop Internal Know-How and Expertise: Mentor junior team members within AI & Data and set strategic focus for expertise building in Switzerland and collaboration with near- and offshore teams.
What We Are Looking For
Experience:
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience as a Data Architect, with experience leading teams to design and implement complex cloud-based ecosystems.
- Engineering background with at least one hands-on data platform end-to-end implementation experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Experience evaluating data architecture decisions and influencing strategic direction while convincing business and IT stakeholders.
- Proficiency in guiding data engineers with best practices in coding styles and quality, along with familiarity with coding quality tools (e.g., SonarQube) and AI coding assistants integrated into IDE.
- Experience across various database types, including structured (relational), semi-structured (NoSQL), and graph-based (knowledge graph) models.
- Nice to have: Experience in packaging data platform solutions into Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform.

- Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to clearly articulate points of view to resonate with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Effective team leadership skills, capable of collaborating with external partners, estimating work, and coaching team members for optimal client outcomes.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong skills in modeling methods, with experience or certifications from DAMA, TOGAF, or similar: Conceptual, logical, and physical data models; Dimensional modeling; Data Vault; design of normalized and denormalized schemas for analytical and operational workloads.
- Hands-on experience in designing and implementing solutions on leading cloud platforms: AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure.
- Expertise in architecting modern data platforms (Lakehouse, Medallion, Lambda, event-driven) in Snowflake and/or Databricks or equivalent.
- Design end-to-end architectures that balance performance, cost, and maintainability.
- Ability to estimate implementation efforts and lead delivery teams, create architecture blueprints, and solution design documents.
- Experience with data integration and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT frameworks such as Informatica or DBT is a plus.
- Expertise in metadata and event-driven architecture, capable of articulating best practices for capturing metadata and using it to develop event-driven logic.
- Knowledge of programming frameworks and familiarity with data formats (SQL, Python, Spark, relational and NoSQL databases, knowledge graphs, big data file formats such as Parquet and Iceberg).
Language Proficiency:
Fluency in English; proficiency in German and/or French is highly preferred.
