How You Can Make an Impact
As a Data Architect in our AI & Data team, you will guide senior stakeholders at our client organizations in making the right architectural decisions, leading the design and implementation of innovative enterprise-wide solutions.
Your significant impact will manifest in the following areas:
- Lead Enterprise Data Architecture Design: Assist clients in modernizing complex system landscapes across multiple solutions (e.g., MDM, CRM, ERP, Cloud DWH). Collaborate with senior client stakeholders to develop enterprise-level architecture, enforceable architecture standards, and plan the modernization journey.
- Lead Cloud Data Platform Design & Implementation: Support clients in building scalable, high-performance cloud data platforms that meet business needs. Responsibilities cover data modeling, integration, transformation pipelines, DevOps, and the application of AI for smart platform operation. Key design decisions will be your focus while leading onshore and near-/offshore engineering teams.
- Architect Integrated Solutions: Assist clients in designing and building integrations necessary for their business processes and deliver data products, including connections between cloud data platforms and AI/Gen AI platforms or integrations of MDM/CRM systems with cloud data platforms.
- Strengthen Market Positioning: Lead our architectural footprint in the market through events, conferences, and interactions with key clients, internal teams, and alliance partners.
- Develop Internal Expertise: Mentor junior team members within AI & Data while establishing a strategic focus for expertise building in Switzerland and in relation to near- and offshore teams.
What We Are Looking For
Experience:
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience as a Data Architect, with a track record of leading teams that have designed and implemented complex cloud-based ecosystems.
- An engineering background with at least one hands-on, end-to-end data platform implementation experience (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Experience in evaluating and influencing data architecture decisions, guiding strategic direction, and persuading business and IT stakeholders.
- Proficiency in mentoring data engineers on best coding practices and familiarity with quality tools such as SonarQube and AI coding assistants.
- Exposure to various database types, including structured (relational), semi-structured (NoSQL), and graph-based models.
- Nice to have: Experience with packaging data platform solutions into Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

Leadership, Commercial Acumen, and Communication Skills:
- A strong client-facing presence capable of engaging with senior stakeholders, building relationships, and translating opportunities into projects.
- Exceptional abstract reasoning skills to understand and connect enterprise-level, solution-level, and operational concepts.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate viewpoints resonating with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Proven leadership capabilities in collaborating with external partners, estimating and planning work, and coaching team members for optimal client outcomes.
Technical Expertise:
- Robust skills in modeling methods, with experience or certifications from DAMA, TOGAF, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience in designing and implementing solutions on major cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Proficiency in architecting modern data platforms, such as Lakehouse, Medallion, or event-driven architectures in Snowflake or Databricks.
- Experience designing end-to-end architectures balancing performance, cost, and maintainability.
- Familiarity with data integration and ETL, designing architectures from multiple sources, and expertise in event-driven architecture.
Language Proficiency:
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German and/or French is highly preferred.
