How You Can Make an Impact
As a Data Architect on our AI & Data team, you will guide senior stakeholders at our client organizations in making architectural decisions and leading the design and implementation of innovative enterprise-wide solutions.
You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the following areas:
- Lead Enterprise Data Architecture Design: Assist clients in modernizing complex system landscapes that involve multiple solutions (e.g., MDM, CRM, ERP, Cloud DWH). Collaborate with senior client stakeholders to craft enterprise-level architecture, establish pragmatic architecture standards, and plan the modernization journey.
- Lead Cloud Data Platform Design & Implementation: Help clients build scalable, high-performance Cloud data platforms to meet business needs. Your responsibilities will include data modeling, integration, transformation pipelines, DevOps, and incorporating AI into these platforms. You will make key design decisions and lead both onshore and offshore engineering teams.
- Architect Integrated Solutions: Assist clients in designing and building necessary integrations for business processes and data products. This may involve integration between Cloud data platforms and AI/Gen AI platforms or between MDM/CRM systems and Cloud data platforms.
- Strengthen Market Positioning: Lead our architectural footprint in the market through events, conferences, and discussions with key clients, internal teams, and alliance partners.
- Develop Internal Know-How: Mentor junior team members within AI & Data and set strategic focuses for expertise building within Switzerland and in collaboration with near and offshore teams.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience as a Data Architect, along with leadership experience in designing and implementing complex cloud-based ecosystems.
- An engineering background with at least one hands-on data platform end-to-end implementation experience as a data engineer (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Skill in evaluating and/or making data architecture decisions, influencing strategic direction, and convincing business and IT stakeholders.
- Experience guiding data engineers on best practices in coding quality, familiar with tools such as SonarQube and AI coding assistants.
- Familiarity with various database types, including structured, semi-structured, and graph-based models.
- Nice to have: Experience in packaging data platform solutions into Infrastructure as Code with tools like Terraform.

- Abstract reasoning skills to navigate enterprise-level, solution-level, and operational concepts.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, capable of articulating perspectives to both technical and business audiences.
- Effective team leadership skills, including partnering with external resources, estimating work, and coaching team members for optimal results.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong modeling skills with experience or certifications from DAMA, TOGAF, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions on major cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure.
- Expertise in architecting modern data platforms (Lakehouse, Medallion, Lambda) in Snowflake and/or Databricks.
- Ability to design end-to-end architectures balancing performance, cost, and maintainability.
- Experience with data integration and ETL, designing architectures for multiple data sources.
- Understanding of metadata and event-driven architectures.
- Ability to review engineering work in SQL, Python, and Spark.
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases and big data formats (Parquet, Iceberg).
Language Proficiency:
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German and/or French is highly preferred.
